Cutting to the Beat.

Cutting to the beat is a technique used in music videos in order for the editor to make more effective cuts within the music clip. this is done by using the sheet of music to mark down the parts in which the clips and lyrics sync, also where the director wants most emphasis in order for the video to have more of an effect on the audience. To do this the editor marks at which point the shot changes in the music video what shot it changes to and the focal point of scene.

		The cutting to the beat has a huge effect on the music video as it helps create the atmosphere and emphasize the meaning of the words within the video. Cutting to the beat is hugely important as without it the narrative of the video would be far less effective.
